Weekly Weigh In - Week 21

Color me surprise this week!  When I weighed in yesterday afternoon, the scale was very generous to me with a 5.2 pound loss.  That’s a total loss of 45.4 pounds.  I was completely shocked.  After being on WW for 21 weeks, I wasn’t expecting such a big loss. I also didn’t work out at all this week so I am going to be grateful for it but will not let myself get complacent about my weight loss.  On Thursday I didn’t eat much because I had a root canal so I don’t know if that had anything to do with it.  I was looking back on my food tracker and the week when I gained weight I had a Subway sandwich every day for lunch.  It was still within my points but I think that my body processes those carbs differently so this week I am going to avoid bread this week to see if my theory is correct. 

This week I plan on getting back on working out again.  I feel good when I work out but lately it’s been hard to commit to it.  It’s raining here in San Francisco so I will probably be doing my Walk Away the Pounds DVDs at least four times this week.  If by mid March I can lose 50 pounds, I plan on getting fit for some good walking shoes & not worry about the expense.  I think I deserve them and it will motivate me to go out and walk more.   I may have mentioned it before but I am thinking of doing a 5K in April.  I still can’t believe that I am even considering it but I feel as though I can do it.  This will also motivate me to work out since I will be committing to a 5K event.

Thanks for your support so far!  Blogging about my weight loss these 21 weeks has helped me in remaining accountable and staying on track.  I need to post more and not just weight loss related items.

Weekly Weigh In - Week 20

Forty point two. That's how many pounds I've lost in 20 weeks. I was worried at my weigh in this afternoon. I wasn't sure if I would maintain or lose any weight. I was almost positive that I wasn't going to gain weight since I was pretty good all week with food & exercise. But then Saturday came along. I met friends for brunch which included champagne and after that it was decided that we would do an early bar crawl around SF. I mapped our bar crawl and we walked about 3 miles so that was great however, I drank quite a bit. I ended up losing 2.2 pounds this week and I am ecstatic about it.

Another exciting thing at my weigh in today was that I got my 10% body weight loss key ring from Weight Watchers. I was so excited to get it. I still can't believe that I've lost 40 pounds. I still have a lot more but damn it feels good. I will be carrying this key ring with me to remind me of how far I've come so far. My next big goal will be losing 50 pounds.

My goals for this week will be to continue to be on track and to work out 4 times this week. I'm feeling very motivated right now and I need to keep on track with this momentum.
