A number will not define me

I maintained this week.  I stepped on the scale on Friday morning & I had lost the pound I gained last week but again with the bread this weekend & perhaps a bit too much wine.  But I am not upset about maintaining.  I had a great week.  I am not going to let the number on the scale define how I feel about myself this week.

However, I am very content with these numbers:

726 - the number of minutes I've worked out so far this month.
53:07 - my fastest time walking a 5K
6,000 - calories burned so far this month
5 - the number of races I am committed to do so far in 2012
11.4 - points (is that what they are called?) dropped on my BMI
13 - days worked out of of the 15 day commitment on the No Excuses November challenge

Here's my week 3 recap as per the half marathon walk training guide:
  • Monday - planned rest day
  • Tuesday - plan was 35 minutes walking / 55:37 minutes on treadmill (5K)
  • Wednesday - plan was a 20 minute walking/ 55:39 minutes on treadmill (5K)
  • Thursday - plan was 35 minutes/ 26 minutes on treadmill (feeling ill that day)
  • Friday - planned rest day
  • Saturday - plan was 20 minutes walking/ 53:07 minutes (Davis 5K Turkey Trot)
  • Sunday - plan calls for a 2 mile walk/ took a rest day
I decided to make Sunday a rest day mainly because I plan on going today and Monday's are typically a rest day for me.   Even though this next week will be crazy, I will get in all my work outs.  Yes I will.  Yes I will.

Goal for this week is to eat in moderation & lose weight.  Simple enough, right?
