1st 5K race- 55:46
2nd 5K race - 57:05
Today's 5K race - 53:07 Booyah!
I was so happy when I saw the results. I knew that I had improved my time & I was using Runkeeper to keep me on pace until about 2 miles in when the app crashed. Boo! But I kept walking & trying to pace myself. Best of all, I wasn't tired when I got to the finish. This is by far the fastest I've ever walked. Yay me!
After the 5K, we walked around the different booths and then we had some breakfast. I was starving! Afterwards, we did a bit of wine tasting.
One of the reasons we decided to participate in this race is because we are thinking of doing the half marathon in February 2012 which is in the same location. We have to decide before month end to get the best rate so it looks like I may be walking a half early next year. Yikes!

I'm making a goal of doing twelve races next year (not sure if I want to do all half marathons or just races of any length), and I was also thinking about the half in Davis! Keep me posted on what you decide!!!
ReplyDeleteThe time difference from your previous races is brilliant. Your training has really been paying off.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! GET READY FOR BAY TO BREAKERS, MY FRIEND!!! (Pending no rain, of course.)
