A disappointing WW weigh in

I am so mad at myself right now. I was doing so good & these past two weeks I let myself get a bit out of control and there isn't anyone to blame but me. I got comfortable with my weight loss and thought that I could resist temptation. I didn't do a good job tracking and the end result is a 3.2 pounds gain. Aaaahhhhh! WTF! Aaaaaahhhhh!

I let the circumstances (holidays & trip to Mexico) be the reasons why I gave myself a pass with food the past two weeks. I tried to be diligent but in reality I sucked with my food intake. I came into my weigh in expecting to maintain but I was only fooling myself.

WW is changing the way the POINTS program so I am sticking around to see what it is all about. I need to get back on track especially with the holidays coming up. I will not let myself feel this way again.

Lust at first swatch

All year long I've regretted not purchasing Chanel's Jade nail polish. It's such a great color and by the time I knew I wanted it, it was sold out. If you do a quick search on Ebay for this shade, it has been priced at 10 times it's retail value. I made sure that this year I wouldn't make the same mistake. I saw a swatch of Chanel's Riva nail polish and I knew it was going to be mine. However, on the different blogs I read this polish would be priced at $39. Now, Chanel polishes are pricey at $25 but I couldn't justify paying $39 for a nail polish. But when I found out that it was $27, I called the Chanel boutique at the Wynn Las Vegas and ended up ordering it. With shipping and handling, it was almost $40 and I know that for most people that is a ridiculous amount to pay for a nail polish. I did feel guilty after I ordered it but that guilt quickly went away when I saw more swatches from Karen & Kelly. I probably won't ever spend so much on a nail polish again but for me, it is so worth it.

And if you knew how much I paid for the hard to find MAC Mineralized Skinfinish in Pleasureflush, this purchase wouldn't seem as extravagant. I think I may need a make-up intervention :)

A Lushious Haul

I went to a bit crazy at the Lush store on Monday. I can spend quite a bit of time at that store just checking out the scents. I am not a bath bomb person but I do like their soaps. I ended up getting the following goodies:

Honey I Washed the Kids
Karma
Rock Star
Angel's Delight
Lemon Slip
Snowcake
Lady Catrina

I also repurchased the Big Shampoo & wanted to give Tricomania solid shampoo another chance. I know that I have tried it before but I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. This will be my second container of Big and I will probably continue to repurchase it because it gives me a lot of volume. It's been cold & windy in San Francisco and my lips have been dry & flaky so I wanted a lip treatment. I almost purchased Fresh's Lip Treatment but I wasn't too convinced with it. Instead, I decided to get the Bon Bon Lip Scrub which smells so good. I got sample of Snow Fairy shower gel, Glogg shower gel & Mask of Magnaminty.

I also hauled at Sephora with their Friends & Family & VIB coupons which I will post later on this week. And tomorrow, an item is being delivered which I consider to be my biggest splurge of the year as it relates to make-up.

Monday Weigh In - Week 8

Can't believe it's been two months since I started WW. It's been two months since I've had any junk food. Whoa! I am really happy with the progress that I have made so far. This is a long road and I can't get discouraged especially when I have seen changes in myself, both physical & mental. Last night's weigh was not disappointing. I was happy for my .6 pound loss. Why? It was a loss & the rate in which I am losing weight is not recommended. I think my body is adjusting to these changes.

This weekend I will be in Mexico for an extended weekend and I am worried as to how it will affect my weight loss journey. I know that I will be surrounded by amazing food & it's going to be hard to resist all the goodies. But I am not going to be too hard on myself. My plan is to eat in moderation & still enjoy my time there.

As far as working out, that's been a big fail. I can't seem to get my bootie off of the couch. I have the tools to succeed but my brain isn't cooperating. How do you motivate yourself to work out?

This week I'll be posting two hauls (Lush & Sephora) and also my splurge for 2010. I think as far as make up shopping goes, I am done for the year.

Monday Weigh In - Week 7

What a week! The past couple of days I was sort of in a funk and while I did eat right, I totally lagged on working out. Given that, I was really surprised at my weight loss this week. I am now down 26.6 pounds which means I lost 4.8 this week. How crazy is that? I was so happy when I got those results. Being aware of the choices I make and sticking to them has paid off. I am starting to notice that my clothes fit differently especially my pants. I am not sure I am going to get any new clothes just yet but maybe getting some alterations done. My goal for this week will be to work out at least 3 times this week. I've got the food intake down but now I need to work on an exercise routine.

Today was also a good day make-up wise. Last week RBL Cosmetics had a sale on some of their polishes and I managed to get three more that I wanted : 360, Scrangie & Under the Stars (click on the links for swatches). I really like the quality of these polishes although they are a bit pricey at $18 a pop. But I ended up splurging since they were 50%.

Monday Weigh in - Week 6

First of all, whoo hoo San Francisco Giants. I am a fair weather fan but they freaking rock. World Champions! .

My weigh in today was AMAZING! After my -.2 pound loss last week, I was really just hoping for a pound loss. Well, 1.8 pounds to be exact. But this week I lost 4.6 pounds for a total of 21.8 pounds lost. I was really good foodwise and I worked out 3 times this week. Say whaaaa!?!? My next short term goal will be to lose 10% of my body weight.
