Monday Weigh In - Week 1

Drum roll please...

My first week back on WW and I lost 5.8 lbs. So excited! I really did work hard at it this week & it paid off. I think that the first week is always the hardest and the easiest to get through. It's hard because you need to get a new routine down, really watch what you eat and plan ahead. But I think it's easier because you are so motivated. At least that is how I have felt about it.

Things learned this week:
  • Veggies and fruits are your friend
  • If I feel hungry, drink some water.
  • If water doesn't help, make sure I am carrying around low point food snacks to avoid temptation.
  • Hummus is really good.
  • Make sure I look at the labels ALL the time. I was surprised by some of the labels I read.

I am off to a good start and I hope I continue to be motivated. My goal for this week will be to drink more water and keep on with my points. I got the Bravo sticker for coming back to my second meeting & the 5 star for the weight I lost. Kinda neat, huh?

Now I am off to read Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. It's the second book in the Hunger Games trilogy & I am hooked.

And for the hundredth time...

I am back on the weight loss wagon. This past Monday I went to Weight Watchers and got on the horrible scale again. It was not a fun day at all. I was extremely mad at myself. The numbers don't lie. I could've gone home and had a glass (or bottle) of wine and let myself feel sad and depressed but I didn't. I decided to go to the grocery shop and plan my meals for the upcoming week. I did pretty good this week since I didn't go over my points. Tomorrow is the weigh in so that will really tell me how good I did. I should be drinking more water and that will be my goal for this week along with staying within my alloted WW points.

I have a few tools that I will be using to really help me become fit and healthy. One will be this blog to track my victories and hurdles. Weight Watchers has a great iphone app which I have been using religiously and have tracked my food intake. That has helped tremendously. I also started a new twitter account to talk about weight loss and find others who are on this journey. If you want follow me, you can check it out here. I'll still be using my other account to talk about make up (loves it!), what a great show Mad Men is and to continue to meet some great people with shared interests.

I know that I still have to post the rest of my trip pictures and will do so this week. PROMISE. I have a lot of pictures that I took in Russia that I want to share. That was by far my favorite country.

What's new with you?
