Monday Weigh In - Week 1

Drum roll please...

My first week back on WW and I lost 5.8 lbs. So excited! I really did work hard at it this week & it paid off. I think that the first week is always the hardest and the easiest to get through. It's hard because you need to get a new routine down, really watch what you eat and plan ahead. But I think it's easier because you are so motivated. At least that is how I have felt about it.

Things learned this week:
  • Veggies and fruits are your friend
  • If I feel hungry, drink some water.
  • If water doesn't help, make sure I am carrying around low point food snacks to avoid temptation.
  • Hummus is really good.
  • Make sure I look at the labels ALL the time. I was surprised by some of the labels I read.

I am off to a good start and I hope I continue to be motivated. My goal for this week will be to drink more water and keep on with my points. I got the Bravo sticker for coming back to my second meeting & the 5 star for the weight I lost. Kinda neat, huh?

Now I am off to read Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. It's the second book in the Hunger Games trilogy & I am hooked.

  1. Um, awesome! I am so proud, that is amazing. I have to start doing something. I somehow gained 15 pounds magically over the past year and hate it.

Keep us updated! I want to see your progress!

  4. Hi, thanks for stopping by my blog and saying hi. Congrats on the great weight loss this week. You had asked me how I lost weight and for me it was pretty simple...eat less move more. I wrote a post with my keys to success since so many people asked me about it. http://dworianynlovenest.blogspot.com/2010/02/my-top-10-get-healthy-tips.html

Good luck with your weight loss!
